Hi Ms Camille
May I ask
1. As long as I belt properly, I can belt as much as I want without injuring my voice, right? Sure, I should take a vocal break after like 30min, but belting is not like a booster that I can use only few times during my practice, right?
2. Is belting only used for sustained high notes? Can I use it for crotchets?

Hi, Kang!
Each singer's stamina is different, but belting is more taxing than lighter forms of singing. If I'm working on belting, I take breaks every 5 minutes or so. Even a song with a lot of belting typically isn't belted the entire time.
Belt style can be used for shorter notes! It's just more noticeable and "showy" when the notes are sustained.

I see, just one more question please
Currently, I can belt up to G4, but starting from A4, my belting sounds like a loud falsetto. When I see others on youtube belting, their belting sounds chesty even up to C5. Is this normal? If I train up my head voice, will I be able to do a chesty C5 belt one day?

Again, each singer is different, but it's certainly possible for tenors, altos and sopranos to achieve a chest-dominant mix belt up to C5 (and higher for altos or sopranos, in particular).
This is one of my favorite mix exercises to help you work on that chest-dominant mix, on A4 and above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsuhrhScIPY.

Hello Camille!
i have a question on belting too. I learned a lot with your course but one question remains: when i want to belt, i want to have a good tone so i think i have to lift the soft pallet a little bit, but i feel that the sound is not bright enough. So i try to keep the mouth not too open and more wide but then i lose the warmth of my tone. What is the advice you would give me? Thank you very much for all of your web site.
