That shouldn't be a problem, Aaron! Food doesn't actually touch your vocal folds (since your larynx is above your trachea, not your esophagus). But certain foods can increase mucus production, which can affect your singing. If you notice that dairy, sugar, or spicy foods cause you to have more mucus in your throat, avoid those foods before singing.
