Greetings! I'm new to singing, I feel like I could practice scales and warm ups for hours a day, but I'm thinking perhaps it is not the best thing for my voice. Is there a general guideline to how much I should/could practice per day?

I have also began mixing my physical work with some study on the psyche of learning- what the optimal ways are of learning - esp to decide things like how long- should i push myself etc. have now started on chapter 5 of Science of Psychology to look at the ways to be an effective learner by pushing out of my own comfort but also not damage my voice or will power

Excellent idea! Singing (like all learning/building new habits) is so mental. I'd love to hear any tips you'd like to share! Here's one called the "20 second rule" that I've found helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj5SzG4XHJo.

it might sound ridiculous but i dress up for my practice and that really helps- another habit formation thing i have been doing is designating a time in the day and a space at home to practice- its a mental thing but really useful
